Customer Success Business Partner - Bay area

Professional Services   San Francisco, United States

Description

ABOUT ANAPLAN

Sure, we are leading innovation in Enterprise Planning Management software. Yes our product is arguably the most sophisticated one in its class. But our product alone does not make heroes of our customers. Our Customer Success Team does. A position on our team gives you the opportunity to take the “service” in “software as a service” to a whole new level, and enjoy rapid career growth while you’re at it.

ANAPLAN BUSINESS PARTNER

Are you a seasoned business consultant in the technology space with a yearning to change the way people plan? Do you enjoy diving into issues and designing solutions?  Are you detail-oriented yet able to communicate at a high level? Do you enjoy knowing that your work has significantly improved your client’s life?

Then this job is for you.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will drive and lead customer resources to assess, design, build and deliver commercially viable Anaplan planning and analytics solutions. Your role will be to own a portfolio of Anaplan customers and ensure their continual success. Your first order of business with a new client is to ensure a smooth and rapid first implementation in line with the processes the customer wants to manage inside the Anaplan Platform.

You’ll be someone who is not afraid to advise a company in Sales Operations one day, then HR the next. Anaplan’s Platform is diverse across multiple use cases and industries. We truly go across the entire business so you’ll need to be flexible and have at least a decent knowledge of business process.

It means you need to take all your experience in business process, technology and client management and combine them to guide and manage the customer to an appropriate solution. It sometimes means you need to re-direct a customer in the most tactful way possible in order for them to have a smooth first implementation. You also need to ‘teach the customer to fish’. It means you need to make them self-sufficient so that they can expand beyond their first process in Anaplan and quickly make Anaplan their spine of decision making in the business.

You also need to build your village. Very quickly you need to establish a set of resources that can help you make the portfolio of customers you are responsible for, successful. That means you need to establish strong ties to your local partner ecosystem, as well as ties to internal resources that can help you make your customers successful. This will include forging links with Executives, Product Management, Engineering and Support, to name just a few. You’ll need to be a mover and a shaker and someone who can influence people to get things done.

This entails:

  • Ability to model build on the Anaplan Platform to an advanced level
  • Ability to design not just an Anaplan solution but take into account the wider technology solution and ecosystem
  • Ability to manage the client, advise on the best way to translate their business process into Anaplan and ultimately be able to guide the customer to success using previous best practices and ensuring we make the customer successful
  • Understanding clients’ financial and operational management processes and transforming them into Business Requirements, then user stories then to multi-dimensional technologies.
  • Understanding how to translate what they want to do into Anaplan, not just taking an existing poor process done in XL or other tool and re-creating it in Anaplan
  • Reviewing use cases and conceiving and executing proof-of-concept models.
  • Managing numerous projects simultaneously, adhering to SOW’s, Project Milestones, etc.
  • Executing work plans in global time zones, both on-site or remote
  • You’ll also be someone who can take a complex issue and break it down into simple, manageable steps or milestones

COMMON TRAITS OF AN ANAPLAN BUSINESS PARTNER

  • Business Acumen
  • Persuasiveness
  • Resilience
  • Calmness
  • Methodical
  • Innovative
  • Intelligent
  • Articulate
  • Active listener

REQUIREMENTS

  • An advanced degree, such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in consulting
  • 5-10+ years of business consulting/implementation experience with multi-dimensional systems such as Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects, TM1 etc. or spreadsheets
  • Strong client facing skills and a successful track record of engagement management
  • Subject matter expertise in financial or operational management systems, including financial modeling expertise
  • Ability to translate from model-building in Excel to multi-dimensional technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data integration (inbound and outbound)

In depth knowledge of at least 2 industry verticals (e.g. Pharma, Finance, Energy, etc.) strongly preferred.

Customer Success Business Partner - North East

Professional Services   New York, United States

Customer Success Business Partner - South East

Professional Services   Atlanta, United States

Customer Success Business Partner

Professional Services   Singapore, Singapore

ANAPLAN CUSTOMER SUCCESS BUSINESS PARTNER

·       Ability to model build on the Anaplan Platform to an advanced level
·       Ability to design not just an Anaplan solution but take into account the wider technology solution and ecosystem
·       Ability to manage the client, advise on the best way to translate their business process into Anaplan and ultimately be able to guide the customer to success using previous best practices and ensuring we make the customer successful
·       Understanding clients’ financial and operational management processes and transforming them into Business Requirements, then user stories then to multi-dimensional technologies.
·       Understanding how to translate what they want to do into Anaplan, not just taking an existing poor process done in XL or other tool and re-creating it in Anaplan
·       Reviewing use cases and conceiving and executing proof-of-concept models.
·       Managing numerous projects simultaneously, adhering to SOW’s, Project Milestones, etc.
·       Executing work plans in global time zones, both on-site or remote
·       You’ll also be someone who can take a complex issue and break it down into simple, manageable steps or milestones

COMMON TRAITS OF AN ANAPLAN BUSINESS PARTNER
·       Business Acumen
·       Persuasiveness
·       Resilience
·       Calmness
·       Methodical
·       Innovative
·       Intelligent
·       Articulate
·       Active listener

REQUIREMENTS
·       An advanced degree, such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in consulting
·       5-10+ years of business consulting/implementation experience with multi-dimensional systems such as Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects, TM1 etc. or spreadsheets
·       Strong client facing skills and a successful track record of engagement management with Japanese speaking and English is a must
·       Subject matter expertise in financial or operational management systems, including financial modeling expertise
·       Ability to translate from model-building in Excel to multi-dimensional technologies.

We are a rapidly expanding, $1 billion Silicon Valley tech firm on a mission to revolutionise how companies analyse and plan their businesses….and it’s working.  We’re already trusted by hundreds of Fortune 2000 companies and we’ve only just begun.

Anaplan is the leading planning and performance management platform for smart businesses. We are a pre-IPO tech company, a global market leader and the winner of multiple awards. Our culture is open, honest and inclusive - we have Silicon Valley sensibilities, strong ties to Europe and are producing seriously scalable and powerful business software.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Senior UX Researcher to join us in our Research & Development centre in York or our new centre in London, to advocate for and drive user-centred design processes.

Overview

Your primary role will be deriving deep insights about our customers’ behaviors, wants and needs and effectively communicating those findings to the Product team by telling compelling stories and building empathy. You will do this by leading qualitative, usability-oriented customer research initiatives, utilising your knowledge of UX and user-centered design principles and methodologies. You will collect and analyse research data and transform it into persuasive, actionable presentations for business, design and technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product managers and designers to determine research objectives
  • Prepare research plans, define metrics and recruit participants for studies
  • Conduct research using methods such as usability testing (remote and in-person), user interviews, field research, and surveys
  • Uncover insights from other sources such as usage analytics, customer satisfaction surveys, and customer support data
  • Streamline and enhance our research practice by discovering new tools and methods
  • Transform research findings into actionable recommendations
  • Communicate tactical and strategic findings and help teams prioritize design changes and new requirements
  • Actively evolve and promote Research best practices throughout the Product organisation

 Requirements

  • Positive energy, innovation, passion and enthusiasm - cultural fit is a big deal for us: we're looking for super-smart people who are excited about solving big problems and are self-motivated to get things done
  • 3+ years experience in UX research with an emphasis on research related to software products
  • Proven experience designing and conducting user research using a range of methodologies, such as usability testing, interviews, contextual inquiry, card sorting, and surveys
  • Track record fostering collaborative relationships with designers, product managers, engineers, and other team members
  • Passion for understanding what drives customer behavior

You will work with open-source technologies and the SRE community.

You will actively participate in the vision to move away from high operational cost tasks such as break/fix, cluster migrations, new service build-outs, abuse, etc.  You will contribute to services that can shrink and expand based on demand, self-heal, automatically rollout, etc.

The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the systems it owns end to end; architecting, developing, deploying, running and keeping the systems performing and reliable

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure reliability of the existing core infrastructure systems, to guarantee 99.99% uptime while maintaining SLAs to guarantee low latencies across the systems.
  • Perform deep dives into both systemic and latent reliability issues; partner with software, systems and security engineers across the organization to produce and roll out fixes.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, application and network.
  • Provide project and technical leadership to the team, keeping in mind the above responsibilities.
  • Measuring, maintaining, and reporting appropriate SLAs across products to internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate with customers and partner teams when required to help unblock teams and achieve consensus across teams to deliver on engineering-wide objectives.
  • Managing and prioritizing new project pipeline vs. pay down of technical debt.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience engineering SaaS/Cloud customer solutions to achieve higher/consistent reliability.
  • Practical knowledge and previous experience of Load balancing solutions like F5, Citrix Netscaler etc.. required
  • Develop strategies to scale out MySQL deployment in multiple DCs, required
  • Setup and support MySQL master/master, master/slaves replication servers, required
  • Demonstrable examples of improved SLAs of site reliability improvements, required.

Are you able to train and mentor customers, partners and employees on a wide range of subjects that relate to making Anaplan customers successful? Can you rapidly take control of a situation and come up with a plan that works?

Then this job is for you.

 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be part of a very special, highly skilled and trained, team of people that operate globally to offer training, mentorship and assistance to our Business Partners and customers.

That means you need to establish strong ties to a global partner ecosystem, as well as ties to internal resources that can help you make our ecosystem successful. This will include forging links with Executives, Product Management, Engineering and Support, to name just a few. You’ll need to be a mover and a shaker and someone who can influence people to get things done.

 This entails:

  • You will be the epitome of the ‘Anaplan Way’.
  • Managing numerous projects simultaneously
  • Executing work plans in global time zones, both on-site or remote
  • You’ll also be someone who can take a complex issue and break it down into simple, manageable steps or milestones
