Over 200 attendees recently gathered in Paris for the third stop of Hub World Tour. The conference was held at the Elysées Biarritz, a beautiful Art Deco building just a few steps from the Champs Elysées. Day one of the conference included Anaplan advanced platform training, where over 20 people participated to hone their modeling skills. A variety of customers and partners were represented in the training, which was followed later that day by a partner round table discussion.

The conference main event opened on the second day with a keynote featuring speakers from companies like Hewlett-Packard, Devanlay Lacoste, Natixis Global Asset Management, Ipackchem, La Chaîne Info, Salesforce, Deloitte, and UFF Banque Conseil en Gestion de Patrimoine. Enjoy some social media highlights from the keynote below.

HP took the stage to share how they’ve streamlined their sales planning efforts using Anaplan. In this session Yves Cavanac, senior sales operations leader and Bruno Buffenoir, vice president and general sales manager for HP France joined Anaplan CEO Fred Laluyaux for an insightful conversation about HP’s complexity and how they leverage Anaplan at a strategic level. Later in the conversation Buffenoir gave the audience a glimpse of the operational view they use to plan.

After HP’s session, Laluyaux introduced the Anaplan App Hub. Formally launched on November 12, the Anaplan App Hub is a first-ever app community where users can discover, deploy, and share apps with planning experts across multiple industries. Anaplan partner Deloitte shared a demo of the CIO Financial Dashboard app they created, which allows the CIO to have access to all of their management information in one location. Laluyaux followed this demo with an explanation of the partnership between Anaplan, Salesforce, and Workday, and the creation of the Planning Cloud.

Along with Anaplan partners, Anaplanners themselves shared their workspaces and real-life use cases. Representatives from Groupe Sofiproteol, Thom Europe, Lexmark, Accenture, and Deloitte shared how they use Anaplan and the apps that enable them to work smarter. Included in the showcase were apps for workforce planning, sales forecasting, financial consolidation, territory and quota planning, and marketing ROI calculation.
