Anaplan recently attended the “Tomorrow’s Tech Leaders Today”conference in London. The event was a combined educational conference and careers day that focused on how women can hone their skills and advance in the tech industry.
The conference discussed and recognized that there is a gender imbalance in tech —currently only 17 percent of people working in industry are women. The sessions focused on leadership, innovation, recruitment, and perfecting key skill sets for women. They outlined the need for soft skills and entrepreneurship, as well as technical skills. Attendees were encouraged to see their own skills in a more positive light.
Alongside Anaplan, companies such as the Royal Bank of Scotland, Salesforce, Halfords, and Tesco discussed with attendees the roles and graduate programs available in the tech industry around the UK.
We met incredibly talented people, and while the event was primarily focused on women, all attendees were encouraged to apply for roles in tech. Although landing a role in the industry is competititve, competition to attract the most talented employees is even stronger.
The conference was a great success—and only the start of a series of career days and events Anaplan will be attending around the UK. Interested in Anaplan? Look out for our upcoming Women in Tech blog series and meet some of the talented Anaplanners driving our success.
In the meantime, check out our available careers, here in the UK and around the world.
