SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 29, 2012 – Anaplan and Pandora will present strategies for financial planning in the cloud during a webinar on December 12th 2012. The event will detail the Internet radio leader’s financial planning process, challenges, systems and goals, and the issues that guided its decision to use Anaplan’s cloud software. The event is free and interested parties can register here.
In a 2012 CFO Research survey of senior finance executives at midsize and large companies, 76% said they believe cloud computing will be important to their company’s success in the next 12 to 18 months, and 71% said that it would reduce the amount of time required to bring new products and services to market. Pandora has been using Anaplan for financial planning since 2011. The company has received numerous benefits from the system, including greater financial transparency and collaboration, easier integration to other business systems, and more sophisticated financial planning.
“Moving our financial planning process to the cloud has allowed us to think and function more strategically than would have been possible with Excel or an on-premise system,” said Jared Waterman, director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Pandora. “Whereas before, our analysis was limited by staff resources and budget needed to integrate systems or enter data manually, now we have a dynamic, flexible, and easily accessible solution in the cloud. The ability to do sophisticated modeling from a highly intuitive interface helps us be more productive and respond to internal customers much faster.”
