Anaplan adds EJ Tavella to its Product leadership team to deliver best-in-class applications for supply chain leaders
Anaplan, provider of a market-leading platform for business planning and decision-making, today announced the appointment of EJ Tavella to the position of senior vice president of Applications for Supply Chain Planning.
Tavella joins an esteemed bench of product leaders responsible for arming the company’s 2,400 customers with purpose-built applications for supply chain, finance, workforce, and sales planning. Under the leadership of Chief Product and Technology Officer Adam Thier, Anaplan has made significant strides in delivering an application strategy that helps its customers turn planning into their competitive advantage.

Tavella has more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of supply chain and analytics and will leverage his deep functional expertise to help Anaplan design, build, and market best-in-class planning applications for supply chain leaders and decision-makers.

Tavella brings deep strategic and operational experience to Anaplan and has worn several supply chain-related hats throughout his impressive career – from supply chain practitioner to S&OP software founder to strategic consultant to supply chain leaders. Tavella joins Anaplan from Accenture, where, as Managing Director, he ran the leading consulting firm’s West Supply Chain practice, driving nearly $1B in client delivery. Tavella managed a broad portfolio of services while at Accenture, including strategy, analytics, tech, and operations consulting – and was instrumental in the supply chain practice’s Open AI integration. Before Accenture, Tavella co-founded Steelwedge Software – an integrated planning solution provider that is now part of E2Open – and was responsible for building the company’s cloud-based sales and operations planning (S&OP) solution.
Tavella holds a BA in Finance from Cal Poly’s School of Business.
