Gergo Safar, BT Group: In the past, information was the power, and you kept close to your chest. In the future, information sharing is going to be the power. 

BT is a leading telecommunication company with a global presence and a primary focus on the UK market. 

For about five years now, we have our workforce planning models on Anaplan, and in recent years, we included some strategic workforce planning models onto Anaplan as well.

Strategic workforce planning is the translation of the organization’s strategy into people plans. 

Identifying the skills that are going to be critical for our future success, and if there is a gap in between demand and supply, what’s the best way to get those skills? 

Anaplan helps us with increasing the accountability, increasing the accuracy of the forecast. And most importantly the productivity of the planning, so that you can identify what are the actions on the back of strategic workforce planning which have the highest return on investment and the highest impact on your workforce. 

We managed to lay down the foundations of skill-based workforce planning across all of the divisions in BT Group. With every iteration we managed to improve those foundations and get a better way of planning in a more efficient way.
