Chris Story, Invitation Homes: Invitation Homes is one of the nation’s largest single-family rental home providers. Our goal is to provide our residents with the best possible leasing experience.
Kayla Flores, Invitation Homes: We use Anaplan for financial planning. We forecast a property-level budget for over 100,000 single-family home rental properties, then consolidate them into a P&L. We also do headcount budgeting and reporting.
Chris: Because of Anaplan, we’ve gone from doing one budget for 80,000 homes to where now we’re doing six budgets for 110,000 homes, all in the span of three months.
Kayla: We’re constantly looking at new budgets, running scenarios, so the flexibility that it offers and that real-time feedback has been really, really awesome.
Chris: Before we had Anaplan, we wouldn’t have been able to make a ten-year plan that has like a robust three-statement financial model. We have all these joint ventures, we have third-party management clients, we have a huge portfolio of our own, and Anaplan connects all those models into one place.
My favorite thing about Anaplan is probably the network effect. I love that in Anaplan we have 10 different models that we use on a monthly basis. And Anaplan connects all those models into one place for us and makes planning so much easier, and it helps everything to stay more connected.
Kayla: So now our time is spent on the things that matter and actually will drive business results. I think Anaplan has really propelled the growth of the company, which is exciting.
