More than a principle: How Anaplan celebrates disciplined execution in action

Two images: one showing four coworkers walking down an office staircase while talking together, and another showing three colleagues gathered around a laptop in a bright workspace.

At Anaplan, one of our core operating principles is a commitment to being disciplined in execution, a focus that separates us from the competition and enables our teams to achieve remarkable results.

We don’t just encourage our teams when it comes to our operating principles; we celebrate them. Each quarter, our CEO, Charlie Gottdiener, presents a Disciplined in Execution Award to an Anaplanner who has exemplified outstanding execution and driven high-impact results in alignment with our strategy.

In Q1 FY26 we recognized Sugam Agarwal, a Senior Customer Success business partner, for his instrumental role in building a thriving market for customer success (CS) in India. His work perfectly illustrates how Anaplanners can make a significant impact in challenging environments.

India is a challenging market for customer success. Despite these challenges, Sugam delivered significant value to our customers by proactively engaging them as a solution advisor, really being the expert on Anaplan and advising them on how to use the platform.

Through his rigor, accountability, and deep commitment to customer outcomes, Sugam’s efforts have created a set of scalable best practices that are now enabling our CS teams to drive success across the entire APAC region. His work is a powerful example of how one person’s dedication can create a blueprint for others to follow.
