What to pack for Connected Planning Xperience (CPX) 2019

Anaplan

The platform for orchestrating performance.

With less than a week to go, we’re counting down to the welcome reception at Anaplan’s annual conference—Connected Planning Xperience (CPX). Haven’t registered yet? There’s still time. Over 2,000 planning leaders, executives, customers, and celebrity speakers will join forces in San Francisco for three days to share insights on the power of Connected Planning, network and become inspired by innovation in action.

As you start putting together your packing list for CPX, here are six essentials that we recommend bringing along to get the most out of the event:

1. The CPX mobile app

Now available on Google Play and in the Apple App Store for all registrants, the Anaplan CPX mobile app is the best way to stay connected to everything happening onsite at the event. Create your own personal schedule and get session locations and speaker information at your fingertips. Use the map to navigate the Xperience Hall and find networking events. Participate in surveys and polls, and interact with a real-time feed of all event activity.

2. Flex your social media skills

While you pack, join the pre-event conversation with the official CPX hashtag: #CPX2019. Make sure you follow us on Instagram (follow ‘Anaplanning’) to see the best behind-the-scenes photos throughout the conference and engage with your peers. If you’re on Twitter, you’ll be entered to win a free pass to CPX 2020.

3. Business casual clothes, comfy shoes, and a light jacket

As you pack your suitcase, keep in mind that business casual is best for CPX. Temperatures in San Francisco will be in the upper-60s to mid-70s, but it will be colder at night, so we recommend bringing a light jacket for the walk back to your hotel. Because you’ll be on foot often during CPX, it’s also best to bring comfortable walking shoes.

4. Your list of booths to check out in the Xperience Hall

Visit the Xperience Hall page on the CPX website to learn more about the exhibitors at this year’s event and plan which booths to stop by. The Xperience Hall is your source for all things Anaplan. There, you’ll be able to get answers to your most challenging questions, meet with Anaplan teams, and see what the future holds for the Anaplan platform.

5. Your laptop, smartphone, and extra power banks

A laptop, your smartphone, and power banks are essential things to bring to CPX. With 50+ breakout sessions, you’ll need your gadgets to take notes and engage on social media throughout the conference. If you happen to forget your charger, stop by the Xperience Hall charging station to power up.

6. Your party hat

Throughout the conference, you’ll need to bring your party hat, but definitely wear it to the 1980s farewell blowout party, featuring the music of Tainted Love. This is your chance to get down on the dance floor, reflect on the days’ activities, and make connections as you enjoy food and cocktails.

Take your business planning to the next level at CPX

CPX is unlike any other conference. It’s the only place where business leaders, technology visionaries, and planners from around the world band together to plan the future of business. With this list of things to bring and know before you go, you’ll be sure to get the most out of the conference. We can’t wait to see you next week in San Francisco.
