This year, Connected Planning Xperience (CPX) offers three full days of networking and learning from some of the best Connected Planning professionals around the world. The day before general sessions begin, we’re kicking things off on June 10 by hosting both full-day and half-day training sessions at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco. Kept small to ensure maximum interaction, these training sessions will be led by Anaplan experts who have mastered model building, data integration, and working with the Anaplan platform.

Whether you’re interested in receiving a beginner’s overview of the platform, taking a deep dive into specific capabilities, or learning skills to enable your organization to become self-sufficient with Anaplan, this year’s training day caters to all levels of expertise. Below, you’ll find an overview of the training sessions offered at CPX and who should attend.

Training sessions for beginner, intermediate, and advanced Anaplanners

Model building basics: For those who are just learning about Anaplan or have never used the Anaplan platform, there will be a full-day, hands-on session on model building basics. In this course, you will take a step-by-step journey through mastering the basics of the platform, starting with foundational concepts and learning how to build a model to meet the needs of end-users within a fictional company.

Model optimization: If you’re an intermediate or advanced-level Anaplan user, you can participate in the full-day model optimization training session, where you’ll learn what it takes to design and deploy scalable systems within the Anaplan platform. In addition, you’ll explore modeling best practices, technical decision points, and how to develop more expertise with the platform overall.

Data integration: If you’re a current user, you can also attend the full-day Data integration training session, which provides a comprehensive overview and hands-on access to Anaplan’s data integration capabilities. By the end of the course, you’ll understand every integration option available to you, including HyperConnect, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Snaplogic and APIs across Workday, Salesforce, MYSQL, and Anaplan.

Self-sufficiency training and preparing for the future

Working with Anaplan’s new platform enhancements: Prepare for the future by getting up to speed on Anaplan’s new platform enhancements. In this session, you’ll take a tour of new platform features and learn basic procedures for building models. Anaplan experts will guide you through various components of new platform enhancements to teach you how to design apps and create pages to meet end-user needs. In addition, you’ll learn how to populate pages with data, visualization, and navigation links.

Building an Anaplan Center of Excellence: Building a Center of Excellence is a complex process involving many decisions. This half-day training course will help you get started with the skills, tools, and knowledge you need to succeed. You will learn about how we define a Center of Excellence, how to determine which type of Center of Excellence best suits your company, and how to build your own Center of Excellence development plan. We will walk you through creating a roadmap toward building your very own Center of Excellence and starting the implementation process.
