Latest Anaplan platform release delivers enhanced navigation and tools for faster planning and performance optimization

San Francisco, October 13, 2015Anaplan, the enterprise planning cloud company, today announced its 4th platform release of 2015. With greater usability a key focus of the release, Anaplan introduced a new navigation panel to enable faster and easier planning and analysis. Also introduced was a new PowerPoint® add-in as part of Anaplan’s tight integration with the Microsoft Office Suite as well as a host of other usability and power features such as advanced list filters, new statistical formulas, and time-based functions.

“With this new release, Anaplan enhances, yet again, the ease by which our customers can access and navigate through their plans, reports, and analytics,” said Chief Product Officer Simon Tucker. “Add to that, powerful new modeling and reporting features automatically available in the 100 plus apps on the Anaplan App Hub, for a release that truly optimizes the planning experience.”

New Anaplan Platform Features

New left-hand navigation panel: a first in planning software, Anaplan’s new navigation automatically adjusts to planning process, role, and organizational needs—as opposed to a “one size fits all.”

PowerPoint® add-in: as part of Anaplan’s Microsoft Office integration, users can leverage PowerPoint functionality to create effective presentations with real-time plan data.

Dependent dropdowns: Selecting interrelated data is now even simpler. Users can let apps and models rapidly guide them to the information they need, resulting in faster planning interactions—such as the creation of reporting views and forms.

New reporting functions: New functions let users more easily define KPIs and views for plans based on ranked and time-dependent data, allowing users to quickly get to the right model and clear insights.

Informatica Anaplan Connector: complementing Anaplan’s current integration options, the new Informatica Anaplan connector accelerates implementations, while also ensuring the integrity of user data and plans that drive execution. This new connector lets users leverage a leading ETL (extract transform load) solution with hundreds of pre-built, bi-directional connectors to cloud and on-premise systems, including Salesforce.com, Oracle, and SAP.
