Sanders optimizes its performance management with Anaplan
Major player in the animal nutrition sector chooses Anaplan SaaS solution for a clear vision of its financial forecasts
Paris, 2 July 2013 – Sanders, the leading animal nutrition manufacturer, has chosen Anaplan, the fastest-growing provider of modeling and planning solutions for sales, operations and finance, to structure its sales management over 18 rolling months and bring its global purchasing process for base materials into line. Sanders was also looking for a collaborative solution accessible to finance and operations managers at the same time, in order to facilitate data sharing and to enable accurate forecasting.

Independent management of the solution
The solution, supplied by Pentaphi – Anaplan’s integrator partner – is extended to each subsidiary of the Sanders group.
Two regions, Ouest and Adour, are already independent in their use of Anaplan. The first installation took 21 days and the second only four days. Once the model is adapted to one company, the other companies can adopt it much more quickly.
“As an integrator, we have trained up new users of the Anaplan solution. We have helped our customers to install the models in order to quickly offer them autonomy when using the solution,” explained Gilbert Josse, associate/founder of Pentaphi, leading integrator of Anaplan solutions. The first training phase – ‘home’ – lasted six days and then the rollout to other regions took just two days. With Anaplan, the user has the freedom to decide on the tool’s parameters. This results in ease of use for both project heads and financial analysts.”
Sanders was able to rapidly extend the solution’s functionalities to the operations divisions, in order to generate activity and management reports. Operations budget models have now been set up for two companies in the group, in less than one month since the beginning of the project. With such rapid installation, the management reporting models for the entire Sanders animal nutrition unit should be operational very quickly.
The collaborative nature of the solution is also a great advantage for Sanders: the group consists of several legal entities and structures, both in France and abroad. The Anaplan platform offers a very simple function mode, giving a clear vision of group-wide activities to all the members of the group, in a fast and efficient way. Moreover, the choice of a ‘cloud-based’ solution eliminates the common restrictions linked with software installation and implementation.
