Anaplan appoints new leadership in APAC to accelerate growth opportunity in market

Anaplan, provider of a market-leading platform for business planning and decision-making, today announced the appointment of Amit Bagga to the position of Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). Bagga will lead the Anaplan APAC team to capture new revenue opportunities and further develop and scale Anaplan’s business in the fast-paced market.

While APAC has emerged as the fastest-growing region in the world, businesses are still grappling with the realities of a dynamic, post-pandemic market. As Managing Director of APAC, Bagga will build on Anaplan’s impact in the region, delivering outsized value to customers like Mizuho, 7-Eleven Malaysia, and Godiva Japan, as they optimize and transform their operations to drive strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting decisions.

“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to join Anaplan and lead the APAC team at such an important time for businesses in the region,” said Bagga. “For organizations to continue to flourish, they must be equipped to make the right planning decisions in a rapidly changing and highly competitive market. The value Anaplan can deliver to decision-makers in this environment is second to none, and I look forward to working with the team to bring the power of Anaplan’s platform to life for businesses across the region.”

“Amit’s extensive experience leading sales teams in high-growth environments, and his background in supply chain solutions, will help accelerate Anaplan’s growth trajectory in APAC,” said Bill Schuh, Anaplan’s Chief Revenue Officer. “As the macro-environment continues to shift, we have a unique opportunity to help businesses re-imagine traditional planning processes – from optimizing sales forecasts to making critical decisions about inventory, costs, and headcount with clarity, speed, and precision. With Amit on board, I’m confident the team will help APAC’s leading organizations realize outsized value.”

Bagga joins Anaplan with more than two decades of experience driving large enterprise engagements and leading strategic growth for cloud, software, and IT companies in APAC. Most recently, Bagga served as Chief Revenue Officer of FarEye, where he helped build, scale, and drive the global expansion of the company’s logistics SaaS platform. Prior to FarEye, Bagga held multiple sales leadership roles at Blue Yonder, including a successful tenure as head of APAC, and drove high-growth strategies for both HP and Oracle.
